What's Happening About the Bricks?

Randwick City Council's local resident consultative group, the La Perouse Precinct Committee, has formed a sub-committee to seek action on the bricks and to make suggestions about other issues at the beach.

On behalf of the sub-committee, Councillor Robert Belleli is curently trying to organise an inspection of the site by senior management and engineering staff from Randwick City Council and Landcom. Following this inspection, we hope that a commitment will be made and a plan of action drawn up for removal of the bricks.

Introduction

This blog is intended to provide information about Little Bay Beach and a place for interested people to discuss issues concerning the current and future management and use of the beach.

Initially, the blog will focus on the campaign to get the bricks removed from the beach.

If you are not familiar with the brick problem - the worst example of gross physical pollution of any coastal beach between Barrenjoey and Cape Banks - have a look at the photo gallery at www.idoc.com.au/bricks/
